Here is undeniable proof that the people of Seattle have to be the most
clueless, tacky, tasteless fans in the entire world.

I gave them too much credit before this. I was so wrong.

The only reason Bobblehead got so many votes is there are two fans
stuffing the ballot box all morning.

And the actual ASP source code for this webpage is flawed because all you
have to do is hit "reload" to tack on another vote in the statistics for the
item you chose.

DOH. Personally I tacked on four or five votes to the "none of the above"
to check this out. Now all we need to figure out is how to hack the site
and put a choices in for:

"See the Texas Rangers kick the s**t out of the Mariners Day"
"Watch Lou Pinella Have an Aneurism Day"
"Bungee Jump from the Retractable Roof Day"

Well, I tested my link by first pasting it onto the address bar of my
browser and hitting return. It went right to the results. I did not
figure that might change later. Oh well, it's still interesting.

Why does this poll make them tasteless fans? I fail to see the reason behind
your post.

At the time I looked at it first, it was a landslide toward having
another "turn ahead the Clock night" Two guys spent all morning trying
to stuff the ballot box for Bobblehead night, but either one is pretty
tasteless.

if the Turn Ahead the Clock Night is the future of baseball, then it's bound
to return in the future! My GOD! THE MARTIANS ARE INVADING!!! Seriously
thought, I wish baseball could become more like the Nintendo game, BaseWars!
I'd love to see a robotic Roberto Alomar battling a robotic Griffey Jr. to
the death for position at 2nd base! Ok, this post makes no sense whatsoever.

I heartily agree! Bobbleheads are a mockery of the game, insinuating as
they do that players have big Sunny Jim heads and springs for necks.

In fact, bobbleheads should go back where they came from,
to...er,...uh,...well, I guess they're, um, a traditional baseball thing.
Never mind.

Fortunately, the Rangers are among a handful of teams refusing to
participate in this nonsense of wearing those idiotic uniforms with
the vertical names on the back.

Unfortunately, Tom Hicks is taking Jerry Jones' marketing strategy too
far with the Rangers like he did with the Stars. He added those
"special event" jerseys for the Stars the way Jones did in 1994 with
the Cowboys. Now word has it that the Rangers will add a new jersey
to its wardrobe. Selling the jersey to fans is, of course, the only
reason for the new shirt's existence.
