Vizquel's BA: .218
Andruw Jones: .158

Not even a contest.

When I posted their numbers a couple months ago, I *never* thought Vizquel
would still be ahead at the end of the season, and certainly not by such a
large margin.

Vizquel is even ahead in OPS now! Wow!

Jones: .158/.256/.249/.505
Vizquel: .218/.281/.264/.546

Who in the world would've thought Vizquel would have a higher SLG than
Jones???

Sabean is a genius.

Giants will only offer him a job as a coach next year.

Wow, didn't know that. That's pretty ok 2nd half numbers for a SS.
(The only time I see Jim's posts: when someone replies to them.)

Did the Giants announce that? I thought he was signed for 2 years.

I did and he still sucks! Worse thing is, the error machine Velez
isn't that great a replacement at any position.

Clearly, he's on a contract drive.

That's scary...

Although Sabean doesn't like sabermetric statistics, this might be
enough to tempt him to sign Vizquel for another year, or (shudder!) even
two.

Remember that Sabean's excuse for non-productive older players is
usually "He's just in a slump! Give him time, and he'll work his way
out of it!" (even if not a direct quote).
