And thank you so much for bringing up such painful memories.

Wow. That is some amazing stat.
The Giants are amazing.
Here is another gem from tonight's WS Game 1 broadcast: Teams that
have won game 1 of the World Series have gone on to win 10 of the last
11 World Series. This team is somethin' else...
Oh yeah? But I'm guessing those 10 teams didn't plan on giving their worst
pitcher in the rotation 2 starts, including Game 7, nor did they make the
worst hitter on their team the DH.
And the Rays had one of the biggest, if not *the* biggest, collapse in
playoff history, yet they still managed to win the series. The crushing
defeat didn't decide the series afterall...
All true. Just trying to point out the the recent Giants' post season
results seem to defy overwhelming odds.
Yeah, I was glad you posted those facts. I was just trying to have some fun
with my reply, not really trying to argue. :-) And to point out Dusty's
stupidity.
I guess now is a bad time to mention that Pedro Feliz had the GWRBI in
the Phillies world-series clinching game 5.
I believe I made a post wishing he'd get the game-winning hit to knock the
dodgers out of the playoff. Well, I guess I kinda got half of it...
Surprisingly, it looks like he started every game.

WS OBP: .368
Steven Rubio is probably mumbling to himself in disgust today.
