The Giants could have traded Fred Lewis for JJ Hardy seeing as the
Twins got him for a guy batting .229 with 3 HR's. I think Hardy will
bounce back and he's better than the SS the Giants have now (ie;
NONE).

so what do you do trade for hardy and eat renteria's contract???? not a
chance....they already ate roberts contract and still have horrible
contracts on the books with rowand and zito....so there's no chance they're
gonna eat another contract. i really don't think hardy is an upgrade from
renteria anyway. both had bad 2009's and both could come back in 2010.

It looks like Fred Lewis could land us something better, if
thats all it took to get Hardy!

I'm pretty sure Juan Uribe will catch on somewhere else so Renteria
will be the new (lesser hitting) Uribe...splitting time between SS and
3B. I don't see Renteria being our everyday SS...God, I hope not. Can
he even play 3B?? I don't even know. Ugh. Damn Giants and it's less
than a week after the WS.
