CASSELBERRY, Fla. -- A man is facing charges Monday morning after he was
accused of trying to rape a woman inside the bathroom of Seminole County
bar.

Casselberry police arrested 22-year-old Jerel Kent around 2:30am Monday
after they said he tried to rape a woman at Shakers Lounge on State Road
436 in Casselberry.

The victim's friends noticed that she had not returned from going to the
bathroom and went looking for her. That is when they said they found
Kent with her in the mens' bathroom. Before the suspect was able to
sexually assault the victim, her friends, bar security and other bar
patrons, rushed to help and held the man down until police arrived.
