Ooh, clever! Really got those Atlantans where they live.....
Only thing is, you neglected to make tired/lame references to the Rebel
Flag, having only one tooth, and chewing terbaccy there,
Andrew....Better luck next time in your chance to _not_ "talk too much
shit."

andy-pandy, this would constitute "talking shit".
It hurts me to say so (because I preferred to think San Diego fans have more
class than Atlanta or New York fans), but I think Randall is right. From
Brendan with his "Why the Padres will WIN!" smack in the Braves newsgroup to
who knows how many others, we've got our own share of shameful representation
in other newsgroups.
I think everyone knows deep down inside that these games will be decided on
the field, not by trash talk, but I guess its a way of letting of some
tension for some people. If you are truly confident and secure in your team,
you do not need to invade another newsgroup and talk trash to pump yourself
up.
As old and beat up as our Padres team is, I still believe that they are
capable of winning the NLCS. Their starting pitchers have given up more runs
than our starting pitchers. More significantly, they have not shown they can
beat Hitchcock (scheduled Game 6 starter) and a pissed-off Kevin Brown awaits
in Game 7 - while on the other hand our team has won games started by all
three of their vaunted aces. Braves and Yankees fans can talk all they want
and be in denial all they want, but the stats and scores speak for
themselves.
I believe in our team strongly enough that I do not need to go into the
Braves newsgroup to talk trash because our team will do its talking on the
field. Heh, this whole thing reminds me of the 1994 AFC Championship when
the Steelers already had a Superbowl rap video made before the game even
started.

That's what we in the Braves newsgroup want the Padre fans to do. Obviously,
you haven't been around there much.
Billy
I'm not aware of any Padres fans going to the Braves newsgroup
and talking trash, but then I don't hang out with Braves fans.

If you want foul and immature, check DejaNews for Padre "fan" posts on
asb.atlanta-braves. I doubt those people are regulars here, of course, just
like "our" trolls aren't regulars either. Some people just come around to talk
shit. They can be hard to ignore.
