I think management was at 5 and Blanton was at 8, so, I guess Blanton won.
Others still to sign are Victorino & Ruiz.
Just a matter of time, however, I could see Victorino being thornier than
Ruiz.
It was 7.5 Phillies, 10.25 Blanton, but he should be thrilled with his
8 for 3 years.

I say good for Joe Blanton. He is an ace-killer and usually keeps the
team in the game for 7 innings.

ok, 6 innings. 44 starts, 266 IP
Rob
and then, reality settled in...
Really, he's worth *more* than Victorino?
Starting pitchers are always worth more than position players, unless the
pos. player is a superstar. So, yes, Blanton is worth more than
Victorino, but not worth more than either Utley or Howard.
Brett Myers made 12 mil last year. Pitchers get paid more and that is
"reality."

I doff my chapeau to your truthiness.
The Skyin' Hawaiin keeps playing for cheap, needs a
new agent.
