Not my favorite bottom of the 8th ever.

How about 16 insurance runs in the top of the 9th?

Got the job done, but not without some nail-biting.

But we'll take it. Let's keep the winning streak going now....

One game does not a streak make.

It does -- but just a very short one.

East W L Pct GB Home Road Streak L10
Philadelphia Phillies 44 38 .537 -- 22-18 22-20 Won 1 2-8

2-8; Ugh. Is this interleague nonsense almost over?

@reader2.panix.com:

Yes. The bad news is that between July 1 and 27, they have 16 games against
division rivals trying to catch them, three against a team currently with a
better record (the Cardinals) and three against a current division leader
(the D-Backs). They better pull it together quickly.

Rangers have the worst ERA in the AL and in our two losses, what did we
score?

i would like to see interleague done diffrent
1.Add TWO games to the schedule to make it 164 game schedule
2.to make this work you need Six Five team divisions so See Yaa
Milwakee go to the AL West
3.you play your OWN Division 16 times, eight at home and eight away
4.you play Every team in the OTHER FIVE divisions 4 times,Two and
home and Two away
5.no more may/june interleague......now when you go to San
Francisco, you go to Oakland when you go to Houston you go to
Texas,.......Mets/Yankees Cubs/ChiSox Marlins/Rays Cardinals/Royals
etc etc
6.you play your own divison on the weekends.........NOW you might say
8 games.........thats a 3 a 3 and a 2 game series.........thats
correct.........the 3 games series are Fri/Sat/Sun the 2 game series
are Fri/Sat with the corresponding AL team being Sun/
Mon............example Fri vs Mets Sat vs Mets Sun vs Yankees Mon
vs Yankees

How pathetic has this NG become.

I am thinking of becoming a flyers fan just because their NG is so
active....
