Despite an improved team, the Phillies are struggling. They need better pitching to compete. Without that, they will not go any further.

Fast forward to 2022, and the team has squeaked into the (expanded) play-offs.
Not sure what they'll do when it counts, but St Louis is the best of all possible first-round match-ups.

Gonna need some good performances, for sure. And probably a
little luck.

Fast-forward again to 10/19 and we're waking up to a Phils squad that's up 1-0 on SD, another wild-card team. I wonder what you would've won in Las Vegas if you had picked this as your NLCS match-up?

True that. They don't seem to think losing is a possibility, at
the moment. Hope it continues.

Yep. For some reason rooting for the Yankees last night didn't
work the same as when I rooted for the Phillies earlier.

Houston it was, and their pitching kept our bats mostly silent when it counted.
Still a great post-season run for PHI after an indifferent season.
I'll be most curious to see what they do in the off-season, personnel-wise.
