... but I'd rather see the Mets sign a legitimate DH, a slugging 3rd
baseman and two decent starters than to blow zillions on an unproven
commodity who may give you 6 innings every 5 days. Even Steve Cohen has
his limits.

them grapes are sour. I knew he was going to LA as soon as the Otani
contract details were announced. It was obvious.

the reports sound like the guy has dwight gooden like talent. If you
want to believe the reports are wrong and that this will be the second
Hideki Irabu you can until the first next pitch. My guess is that with
modern communications an Irabu kind of scouting fail is unlikely.

The idea of bringing Epler here to atract Yamamoto wasa miseriable
failure. The trade for the 2 wash ups was a crap manuever. Neither
player is major league material in my opinion.

The guys they recoups in the minors, I have serious doubts about them
and minor league pitching seems like the cubbard is bare.

It is all making me with for Alderson to return.

I won't lie, I would have liked to see the Mets get Yamamoto, but here's only so much you can do. Their bid equaled the Dodgers offer and exceeded what the Yankees offered. He wanted to go to LA, case closed. Time to move on and work on the rest of the roster.
