Cue Omar Minaya panic move.
This is a good deal for Toronto if it goes down as described.

I wouldn't go too crazy yet. Both D'Arnaud and Aumont are former 1st
round picks but they're also both basically in A ball. If they get
Michael Taylor, Dominic Brown, or both, it starts to get interesting.
Personally, I'd take Taylor. Brown is more of a project. Taylor
could start in the Blue Jays OF right now. But without either guy,
this is a deal about hopes and dreams for Toronto. They could just as
easily get nothing out of it.
They would get Phillippe Aumont, Phillies catching prospect Travis
d'Arnaud and another Phillies prospect (That is 3 prospects - two of
which are high level prospects) and then Michael Taylor, 4 prospects.
When I first read this I thought Seattle was send two additional
prospects to Toronto but they seem to be going to Philadelphia...which
seems to make no sense to me since they are getting Lee. For the Phils,
they are exchanging pitchers...far less exciting then the whole thing
appears. Seattle is getting a former Cy Young pitcher for 2 prospects,
prospects I assume Toronto didn't want, otherwise the deal would be
between Seattle and Toronto.
Anyway, the Mets can use those prospects.

If they get Taylor and Brown, then it's a good deal for Toronto. The
two young guys are very young.
Honestly I think it's a relative wash for Philadelphia except they
have a better chance to sign Halliday then Lee.
I'm waiting on the final deal to see where it ends up.
There are reports that Philadelphia will recieve Phillippe Aumont from
the M's.
