The VBL began in 1995 and has been an active league since then. A
league has never closed due to lack of participation or
competitiveness, but merely a Commissioner's need to move on for
personal reasons.
I run the VBL3 which is sim'd on FPS Baseball (old school) and we've
been going since 2002 and are in Year #15.
We have a very active ownership in the VBL3, VBL4 and the VFL
(football sim) and we are now expanding to the OOTP X World.
Since the VBL3 is "current" and VBL4 began in 1980 and is now in 1991,
the VBL6 will use all fictional players.
If you think you know how to run a team, this will be a spot to prove
it. Only certain ratings will appear which means most of your scouting
will be done by 1 person. You.
Prior to the initial draft the Commish simmed 3 seasons to give owners
an idea of the performance and capability of each player.
We just opened the league up to the "public" with experienced VBL'ers
getting the first crack.
The best part about the VBL is the Commish does not own a team, and
never will.
So no longer will you have to wonder why the Commish's team is in
first place or why he always seems to get the best prospects.
