Boone's a career .226 hitter in April. It's traditionally, by a fairly
substantial margin, his worst month (unless you want to count four game
played in October).

I couldn't agree more! Now let's see if Boobe has what it takes to
send down ol' sonny boy (if his slump continues...)

I'd take Stynes over A.Boone as a starter at 3B and over any of the
reserves we've got this year. What a terrible decision to let him go
(yeah I know he's hurt and would've gotten a couple mill$, but the guy
was our little slice of Rose when it came to a having a gamer vs the
prima donna fest we have now).

Missing the whole 2nd half of last season probably didn't help much either.
He took a half year off and hadn't faced live pitching til March. I'm all
for bringing up Larson, but I don't see Baboo making that move. Hell,
Castro is hitting over .350, play him at 3rd for awhile. If you hit the
ball to Castro, you are out, no questions asked. What are the
organization's plans for Larson anyway? Shouldn't he be the 2003 third
baseman?
