So, one of the best players the Cubs have is going to the rival Cardinals.
At least we won't have to listen to Pat Hughes pronounce his name
"Cone-treras" any more (except for when we play the Cards).

Everything I've heard is because of the way he handled the pitching staff (poorly according to higher ups), and because the Cubs viewed him as less valuable as a mostly-DH/very-little-C.
The analytics on his defense and handling of pitching staff and framing DOES support the Cubs' higher-ups view.
