Showdown!
Everything in the Central Division is now "all on the line"!

Who really deserves the Central Division Crown?

I'd vote for the Twins.
They've shown that they always have had the momentumn &
I really don't have any problem with some grandeured thought of an
upset and another choke of N.Y. - or has the mystifying and
magnificent killer A.Rod finally been awoken from his post-season
slumbers?

Scuttlebutt says that Gardenhire left a note behind in the visiting
manager's locker room after his team's four gamesplit with Detroit
last weekend . Ozzie retrieved it and said that the White Sox were
only "here to play".
So where was his team a month ago?!?!?

My guess is that there will be a game #163 in Minnesota Tuesday.

Detroit has really choked in the last month. I like Gardenhire and the
way the Twins play.
However, in all honesty for me if the White Sox aren't in it, I
couldn't care less which team wins.

I agree that I don't care who wins, but if the Sox/Twins roles were
reversed, I would hope and expect the Twins to put their best team
against the Tigers today.

With the Tigers winning today and the Twinkies up 7-1 in the 5th it
seems like you're right. Tigers had a 2 game "magic number" and
failed to win 2 games against the Sox. It's on the Tigers.

Tigers can't be too sure of themselves going to game 163 at the
Twinkie Dome. It would be cool to see that dump closed with a loss.

The Tigers have been playing poorly the last month & the Twins have
been hot. The game is in the Metrodome so it would seem the Twins
have the advantage. Having said that the Tigers will probably win.
The beauty of baseball--you never know. Just when you think you've got
it figured out--forget it.

Almost does not matter, Tigers dug their own grave by just sucking on
offense this weekend and having to pitch Verlander, who needed to go game 1
and 5 for their only chance at an upset. Now, I don't think it matters who
gets in, the Yankees will sweep.

I hope you're wrong. Win tomorrow and upset the Yankees!
