The Rangers stay 2 1/2 back in a nail bitter at the Ballpark. With a 12-10
lead John Wetteland didn't have a blow-up like last night and shut down the
Yanks in the 9th. Juan Gonzalez continued to come out of his slump with his
27th RBI of the year, and Greer had a key clutch homer. Now the Rangers get
a break. They do face a tough starter in Thompson tonight but then the
schedule gets drastically easier.
As for the Angels fans who claim the Yankees will be tired, it wasn't too
hot this week so don't count on that to be a factor and after seeing the
Yanks for two straight weekends I doubt a little sleep deprevation is going
to hurt them too much. Get ready foran 0-5 or 1-4 series in the Bronx.
So you finally win a game to save face and reappear, what is starters
ERA now after giving up about 27 runs in three games?

Something tells me we will be 3-5 against the Yanks. We have a lot of
confidence right now.
