A rumor mill claim is that Theo is looking at Florida 2B Dan Uggla as a
possible Bay replacement. Uggla hasn't played LF in the majors though.

Well then again when you are replacing the worst fielding outfielder
in baseball..what better else to do then
get a 2nd baseman to replace him.

But his defense is questionable. Even when he tries his best, his
defense is mediocre at best. Hanley Ramirez still has the capability
to be a mutliple gold glove award winner, Uggla doesn't, when
comparing the two Marlins.

That's funny. I haven't heard that Hanley is anywhere close to a gold
glover lately. In fact...I've heard folks suggest his future is in the
outfield. I don't know myself. I'll wait for one of our experts to chime
in. I'm distrustful of defensive stats and don't see much of Hanley myself.
Any of our NL scouts out there?

No, but I'll definitely put my money on Hanley to win a gold glove
before Uggla is even part of the discussion for a gold glove award....
