The O's may stink right now, but I still love em'. It hurts me to see them
lose, but I 'm not going to root for some other crap team because they're
bad right now. I still have hope that they'll pull it together. If you
think otherwise, then post to another newsgroup fair weather.

Who said I was rooting for another team? Stating obvious flaws with
the Orioles (Doug Drabek, left side of infield, Carter allowed in the
field) doesn't make you a tird [sic].

As Robert Schumann said (translated from German, of course), "The
critic who refuses to attack what is bad is not a whole-hearted
supporter of what is good."

Sounds to me like you're the one that isn't a fan of the Orioles.

"As a statistic RBIs were not only misleading but
dishonest. They depended on managerial control, a hitter's
position in the batting order, park dimensions, and the success
of his teammates in getting on base ahead of him. That left
two measurable factors - on base average and power -- by which
to gauge the overall offensive worth of an individual."

And what, pray tell, is "another newsgroup fair weather"?

And just what precisely is a "Tird"?

I think you have just replaced Brandon Cherney as the latest 14 year old, can't spell, can't compose a
complete sentence, perfect example of our public schools system, (did I get it all in) ASBB-O resident
immature little jerk.

Forgive me folks, but I can tolerate a lot of things said in here---- this just isn't one of them.

Criticizing a team is not the same as not rooting for
it. I happen to criticize all of my teams at times and expalin
where there weaknesses are. I still root for those players
I crticize to do well. However, finding flaws in your team so
that you can FIX those flaws is being a fan of your team because
you want it to do better.

Welcome to the Orioles News Group, BC! I want to congratulate you on your
choice of topic in this post here. Attack the most popular poster in the NG in
one of your first posts! Great idea! I'll be looking for your book "BC's How to
Win Friends and Influence People."

A couple of tips for the next time you attack Dan. If you wander down to your
local bookstore, you will find things called dictionaries. They are filled with
words and their correct spelling. On page 1273 of my Merriam Webster's
Collegiate Dictionary, for instance, is the word "turd". There is no "tird" in
there, however. Might help to learn how to spell four-letter words!

In addition, once you get out of 2nd grade, you will begin classes on grammar.
Ask your teacher why the following sentence is incomprehendable in English: "If
you think otherwise, then post to another newsgroup fair weather." Should be a
fun class project.

Anyway, once again, welcome! You've already convinced me that you are FAR more
knowledgable and informed on things related to the Orioles than silly old Dan
is. Good going! Keep up the good work!
