I can't understand why you Oriole fans are making a monster out of Sandy Alderson- he didn't cause the
game to be played in Oakland, the strike did. I've been a huge Oriole fan since I was 11 (in 1979) and since I
live in the bay area, I've had to defend that many times. The only thing I defend more is Cal Ripken,
especiall since people like Bobby Bonds (a Giant's coach) still argues Cal is selfish. I'm getting real tired
of all this garbage. But get off Alderson's case. The game on Aug 18 will be huge and I can't blame him for
wanting it in Oakland. Blame the owners! The game would have been played in Baltimore if the whiners, I mean
owners, hadn't forced a strike. Yes, some players are greedy and they should be lucky to be where they are,
but the owners ate taking advantage of their anti-trust exemption and this needs to stop. Thank God Baltimore
has an owner who understands all that-too bad he's the only one!
