White Sox fans would prefer that this award be renamed "The Shoeless
Joe Award". While it is true that Pete caused a lot of stink, his
actions never threatened the complete destruction of Professional
Baseball, like the actions of Shoeless Joe and the rest of the 1919
Chicago White Sox nearly did. It is not enough that the White Sox (and
all of their fans) have been forced to wear the color BLACK ever since
this devestatingly shameful and humiliating period in history, it is
necessary to change tha name of your award to add a "more frequest"
reminder.
