Interleague Play: Pinch Hitter -- Designated Hitter Answer

To clear up the conflict of the designated hitter between the leagues,
I suggest that the pinch hitter rule be modified. Personally, I don't like
the designated hitter. To me, it seems to rob something from the game.
But I do like the idea of keeping a good ball player on a team after he
can no longer play regularly in the field. That is why, I formed the idea
of allowing a pinch hitter to bat more then once in a game.

The following is the MULTI-PINCH HITTER Rule.

A pinch hitter is allowed to bat multiple times in a game providing that
there has been nine outs between plate appearances.

The following are rules concerning the nine outs.
1. An out by the pinch hitter does not count as one of the nine
outs.
2. The second and third out(s) of a double or trible play hit into
by the pinch hitter counts as part of the nine outs.
3. An out stealing while pinch hitter is at bat does not count
as one of the nine outs. If out stealing is the third out, the
plate appearance counts.

The following are rules concerning plate appearances.
1. A pinch hitter can only bat once in extra innings.
2. A pinch runner can replace a pinch hitter without it affecting
the pinch hitter status.
3. Any player removed from the field can not pinch hit.

The above rule change would bring back a lot more managering by the
manager. And it would protect some good but getting old ball players.
It is not offen in baseball when both sides can be happy!

If you think that a DH takes away from the game, how would changing from
the way the game has been played for years, add to the game?
I don't like a few things about the game eitherbut, I don't think that the
games rules should change just because someone doesn't like something. I'm
not trying to sound like an ass. Please don't take it that way; I'm just
offering my opinion.
