coming out in a few months. Last summer, desperate for a name (it's amazing
how hard it cane be to keep coming up with them after a while), I turned to
Usenet, and came up with... Colin Rogers. For those curious, here is a
sample:
Colin Rogers blustered a bit more, modestly. Synstelien and I exchanged
glances and smiled. We both knew the old man well enough to see that he was
pleased, despite his protestations. łWell then,˛ Rogers said at last. łIf
you insist, I shall say a few brief words, a sketched portrait, if you will,
of yours truly and humbly.˛
łPlease do,˛ said Corwin.
łShall I begin at once?˛ asked Rogers.
łWe await you eagerly,˛ said Corwin, grinning.
łThen I shall do so.˛
łWeąre all ears.˛
łQuite right, quite right.˛ Rogers cleared his throat and sat up in his
chair, keeping his back straight and his posture properly stiff. łAnd as
promised, if I must introduce myself, be assured that I shall so with the
utmost attention to brevity, for, after all, as a former servant in His
Majestyąs military, and one of no small accomplishment if I do beg leave to
say so myself, I am well aware that brevity is not only the soul of wit, not
that wit is necessarily called for in a report, or rather, that is to say,
an introduction, mind, but also the key to clarity, insight, and
understanding. Also, while some repetition might reinforce certain critical
points, I shall nonetheless avoid the temptation to underscore certain
events, to imprint their importance in the minds of you, my gentle

LOL. Good stuff. I gather that this is your idea of the morphed
character that would emerge following a teleportation accident,
simultaneously involving Jolly Rogers and Dr. Colin William?
Colin, should we consider litigation here? I'm thinking defamation of
character from your perspective, and just litigation for the fun of it
from mine. What say ye?
John, are you wealthy enough for us to bother suing you? Wanna settle out
of course? Perhaps Lance would broker this deal for a modest fee. Heh.
