Yo - any biochem honchos that can work out the conversion???????

If one obtained a value of 5.4 umol/l then what does this equal in terms of
mcg/milliliter.

My head hurts!!!!

you need the molecular mass (ie, the grams per mole) of whatever you're
talking about to convert micromoles into micrograms

when you get the molecular mass you can then figure out how many grams,
then find how many micrograms. one microgram is equal to .0001 grams (I
think?) ,then covert liters to milliliters, there are one thousand
milliliters in a litter.
What is this for any way?

Where MW = molecular weight,

mcg/mL = (mcg/L) / 1000

Thus, the given value in umol/L is .0054 umol/mL

mcg = MW umol

Since you know, above, how many micromoles per mL, to get the
number of mcg per mL, simply multiply by the molecular weight.
