I don't know the specifics of those. I have a used and abused pair of black
tack 595's. Even in their sad state they still feel and perform better than
anything else I've tried. You might look at getting the CCM boot at a
minimum.

I'm too cheap to buy new skates anyway. So i'd probably buy the cheapest. :)

Hello,

You want skates that get the job done get the 755 or the 970. I own the 970
and love them. They are the best pair of skates you can buy. I also have
the 952 which is the ice version of the 970. There is saying that a friend
told me. I want to look good playing the game buy Bauer, Nike, or Easton.
If you want the job done right get CCM. Also, A piece of advise is that a
lot of guys on my In-line team wear Mission and say those are great. Don't
waste your money on Nike, Bauer, or Easton. I hope I could help.

I've got CCM RH755s with a redstar hi-low chassis attached to it and they are the best skates I've ever had, I've had Bauers, Nikes, and I've tried Missions.. I got mine at www.discounthockey.com and the last time I checked, RH755s w/ regular Sure Grip Chassis on them for 199.99
I think my redstars with the boots came to a good 300 and some..  They are long lasting though.
Also, these guys on my team got 970s, and the lesser sizes are great, but the bigger sizes like 12 and up have a problem with the wedge.
