Well done peter! with thanks to a free fiver from blue square.com which i
imediately put on peter to beat mark i have won back around 6 or 7 pounds
plus my fiver!
Still, there has been no one that is able to explain why watching Peter
Ebdon play snooker should
be exciting.
If you can, please send me a mail!
best regards,

I think Peter Ebdon can be a very interesting player to watch, he is not a
player full of speed like O'Sullivan, but Peter goes for his shots like a
lot of top players and sometimes he gets the shots other players might not.
He has a very positive attitude and can be exciting to watch as well. He
puts a lot of thought into his game as a lot of people would have seen
today, his average shot duration today was around 33 seconds, pretty slow
but he played a lot of superb shots!!

you haven't convinced me whatsoever.
I admit that Peter E. makes shots that other players don't, but I have the
impression (of course, even I can be wrong) that that only happens out of
desperation.
One of the attractions within snooker for me personally is that it is
considered a gentleman's game. For instance: when someone fouls and the
referee has missed that, the player announce his mistake (Jimmy, Ronnie,
Terry Griffiths, Steve Davis etc.). Thinking of that, the first thing in my
mind is the shouting of Peter Ebdon during (!) his match against Mark
Williams.
I still have the impression that winning is more important to Peter Ebdon
than competing. He'll use everything necessary (like playing extremely
slow?) to win a match. Of course is winning the most important part on that
level but I think that the fact that snooker is a gentleman's game is of a
higher order.
Other players in my opninion have more skills.
The bottomline is: I don't like to watch people play with an average shot
duration of 33 seconds! And I pray that not everybody is going to play as
fast as Tony Drago, there must be differences to make the sport attractive.
But I still think that an average of 33 seconds is 15 seconds too long, the
public will switch the television off, the player must have something very
intriguing to stay watching him and Peter Ebdon hasn't in my opinion.
Thanks for reading.

I agree with you on one point, which was the shouting Peter Ebdon done in a
lot of his matches, i absaloutely hated him when he did that against any
player, but now he has stopped all that i tend to support him now.
"The average shot duration of 33 seconds is 15 seconds too long".
I totally disagree with that, its up to a player how he wants to approach a
game. Terry Griffiths must have had an average shot duration much longer
than that, and sometimes Steve Davis as well.
