Stopped at Walmart at 135th and State Line in Kansas City last night.
Strolled by the ammunition case as is my wont whenever I'm in Wally
World. Never know when they might be in a hurry to get rid of something.

Were they ever! Remington UMC 40 S&W 180 grain JHP at $35 for a
100-round box. Now for purposes of comparison Wally wants $20.97-at
least around here-for 50 rounds of Winchester White Box in the same
caliber, bullet weight and type.

Never look a gift horse in the mouth, I always say. Told the register
jockey I'd gladly relieve her of the five boxes she had in the case and
reached for my wallet.

Here's the BEST part, everyone. The stuff rang up at-wait for it-not
$35 per box, but $21! That's right-TWENTY-ONE CENTS A ROUND for 500
factory-loaded 40 caliber 180 grain JHP cartridges! You can't RELOAD
that cheaply-the bullets ALONE would cost you at least that much if not
more.

Don't know if anyone else will luck out like this, or if I've tipped
Wally off to a pricing error. Anyway, if you're feeding a .40-or a gun
in another caliber Remington sells UMC hollowpoints for-and you're going
to be in a Walmart this weekend, it might be worth checking out.
