I had the opportunity to stop by a Nike shop and the salesman recommended a
Nike shoe called "Air BoHo" which was designed for indoor (aka wood floor)
volleyball. I tried on a pair and they seemed pretty comfortable with good
ankle support and none of the ponderousness I associated with my baskeyball
shoes.
Anybody have any preferences?

MX756GM, New Balance. Just got a pair and have played only twice but they
seem extremely comfortable and stick well. They are low tops, about
$60-65. Before that had a set of Adidas Ratball basketball shoes that
would stick better than anything, but my feet were coming out feeling like
somebody had beat on them.

s...@mercury.campbell-mithun.com says...
Last year I played in Power 'Pro AVP Mid' shoes; these were very durable
shoes with good traction and decent comfort. However, I've always gotten
the best fit for my feet from Nikes, so this year I'm trying the Nike
'Air Flight'. So far so good - they're very comfortable, lightweight,
and have good cushioning and stability. Traction doesn't seem to be quite
as good as the Power shoes but so far I haven't had any problems, despite
our dusty court surfaces.
The Air Flight is a basketball shoe, but it's lighter than most of their
lineup and the internal cushioning seems to be made for my ~145lb weight
rather than for a 220lb basketball player's... The Power was a volleyball
shoe and didn't seem to have as much cushioning in the heel counter as the
Nike does. Definitely try 'em on in the store, and run around a bit; either
a volleyball or a basketball shoe should work fine as long as it's a non-
marking sole.
I've had very bad luck with Ektelon and Head shoes and won't buy them
anymore. They might work fine for someone with a different build and
foot shape, especially if you're not as hard on shoes as I am.

I always recommend the Nike Air Digs which are actually volleyball shoes.
They have recently been redesigned but they are just as good for me. My
most recent pair is excellent.
hope this helps.

You know, I used to try to do that. But so far the racquetball shoes that
I've tried have absolutely sucked. The quality, comfort, stability, etc
were all way below what I could find in shoes designed for other sports.
Maybe instead we could get Nike and the other big vendors to start
marketing some of their existing shoes for racquetball players as well.
The Power shoes I played in last year were actually volleyball shoes,
and were the first pair of shoes I've owned in a long time that actually
lasted a full season without faling apart. They worked great for racquetball.
It seems to me as though the footwear needs of racquetball aren't that
different from those of volleyball or basketball players. Have you seen
any racquetball-specific features marketed by Ektelon, Head, etc?

I just got a pair of the new Ektelons--the ones with the anotomically
shaped toe. They're FANTASTIC.
SEFS...@AOL.com
the "Power" shoe line is so light it is amazing!!!, i teach at 2 clubs
and use them in all facets, teching, tournaments, and practice/play etc.
each pair seems to last about 5 months or so, but i play a lot!!!!!!
and they give great support, actually ive had a little better support
with some ektelon shoes, but with them i feel like im carrying weights
around... check out how light they are!!!!
any questions e-mail me
im from cleveland
later
