That format was awesome... however, you need to do something with the timing...
to long of wait between games, with little to do... maybe shorten games to 5
minutes, with 3 sec downtime... and the same pack rotation... I like the way
you seeded it, the 6 frantic games, maybe do 4 instead and start everything at
11pm and run until done... thats my suggestion.
One on one should be the main deal. But you have to run it like this:
each match consists of two 4 minute test games, with the players
switching packs after the first, and then totalling up the scores. No
one can bitch that way, and it doesn't matter how bad or how good the
packs are. The tournament wouldn't take that long to run that way. Oh
yeah, and it should be run swiss-style. If you don't know swiss style,
that means you run 1 round of prelims for each power of 2 starting with
2. For example, 16 people would be four rounds. After each round, you
pair similar records against each other. 1-0 plays 1-0, 2-1 plays 2-1,
etc. Email me and I'll help ya if ya want, because I will definitely
be at this tournament.
Don't run it in March. That's the Mesa mixer, plus it's close to
center tryout times. Mid-December means COLD COLD COLD in Appleton, but
that's cool with me I guess. Mid-Dec. doesn't conflict with other
tournaments at all.

pool sounds good. I could be lq's best pool player, been wanting to
see who else can play. Check your email Lou, look at my 1 on 1
format. It would work great.

Where will you be living at this time Adam? I will need transportation
from Chicago if I'm going. BTW, I thought you won the first one, then
I.R.S. won the next one, so isn't he reigning right now?
