Hello,
Can somebody give a short but sweet explanation on the advantages
of replacing my reed valves. I have a Kawi xi and I'm getting a Factory
pipe, flame arrestors, primer, and impellor. I was just wondering if I
should spend the xtra doe and get the reeds. Is it worth the money.

Thanks in advance.

I put in a new set of Boyesen reeds in my SL750. It definitely improved
my throttle response. I would highly recommend a set of after market reeds.

Has anybody tried carbon fiber reeds? I have heard conflicting stories
on how effective carbon fiber reeds perform.

Steve Carbon fiber reeds would possibly be of value to a racer but not to the
average schmo who can't even read a plug. I have also had warm fuzzies with
Boysen reeds in the past. However, the fact is ALL reeds lose thier elasticity
quickly. Therefore, I w
bucks a pop. This is of course my own humble opinion and is subject to change
without proir notice. Just kidding I NEVER change my mind!
