Those numbers represent the ORDER OF FINISH, STUPIDIOT! The order is expressed as “1, 2, 3, 4, ... etc. ... 8... etc.”

• Number 1 represents the WINNER (they say ‘To Win’ in betting)
• Number 2 represents the horse who finished in 2nd (they say ‘Place’ in betting)

• Number 4 represents the horse who finished in 4th (it counts in ‘superfecta’ betting).

You are famous in your area regarding horse betting. That’s how I found out your name. People call you ‘Cochiloco’ (‘crazy pig’).

You confuse ‘horse numbers’ with ‘finishing order’. The ‘horse numbers’ are drawn BEFORE the race. The ‘finishing order’ represents the ‘results’ of the race. In other words, it is a list in lexicographical order of the race results. If the race consisted of 8 horses, the ‘finishing order’ looks like:
1. Horse_Number2
2. Horse_Number4
3. Horse_Number3
4. Horse_Number6
5. ...

You should learn that the lexicographic order is not necessarily equal to the ‘horse number’. It just happened in this case that the horse finishing 3rd was also identified as ‘horse 3’ in the race.

But you always bet like this: “Straight trifecta 1, 2, 3”. Always. And after every race you go to the window and ask for the payout. You claim you “predicted” the trifecta. People at the window have told you time and again that the real trifecta was something like ‘2, 4, 3’; and ‘1, 2, 3’ is a simple list!

You should also know that it is insane to ask “to predict what already happened; i.e., to predict the results post facto”.

Your caregivers should either keep you in strict confinement or teach you the difference in horseracing numbers.
