I agree that CD was impressive in the Pan and looms large in the Belmont.
However, if BB wins the Preakness and the field thins even further for the
Belmont BB has the speed to put the race away early, no matter how good CD
is. A rabbit would might make all the difference. In CD's favor is the fact
that the dope Desourmeax would likelt stay on BB if he wins the Preakness -
which brings to mind his race losing ride on Real Quiet. As some wag said of
Jean Cruguet, a mile and a half is a long way for the frenchman to go
without fucking up.
