Skateboard crash death
A MAN riding his motorised skateboard down a country road in the dark
was killed whena BMW ploughed into him from behind.
Nathan Higgins, 26, was thrown from the Go-Ped machine and suffered
massive head injuries.
He had been riding with no lights on the A3013 near his home
inFarnborough, Hants.
Nathan, who made film scenery died instantly.
The U.S.-made Go-Ped has a top speed of 20mph. Models cost up to £500.
The car driver, who was treated for shock, is to be quizzed by police.

Hrm...that's not good. Poor guy. Anyways, IT'S NOT A MOTORIZED
SKATEBOARD! It's a self-propelled scooter! :-)

Phuq! Thats a real bummer and won't do any good for Go-Peds reputation here
in the UK. And although no body wants to see anyone hurt or killed on a
Go-Ped, it has to be said.. The guy was kind of asking for it if he was
riding in a pitch black lane with no lights! Paul

you beat me to it, I mean what a pratt - no lights in the dark, on a country
lane, he deserved to be hit (although it goes without saying theres a
difference between an educational lesson and a tragedy).

Worse thing is that it once again lowers go-ped's reputation. Some of us
actually want to use them for transport and everytime someone gets caught
pissed on one or in an accident the police are going to get more arsey.

Never mind Go-Ped's reputation. There was a young human life with much ahaid,
and many effected family and loved ones now with a terrible loss.
We can't reverse, or bring anything back, but we all can use this tragedy as a
powerful learning experience to help prevent such a thing happening to
ourselves or maybe others. If that is a result, then this poor lad will have
done a great thing for the rest of us.

I agree completley. We should all learn from this indeed. Gopeds are
not meant for this type of riding. Don't do somthing like this and
take the chance of ending a future for yourself.
We should take a moment to remember this man.

The only lesson to be learned from this is that there's a village minus
one idiot now.

I have every sympathy for his family BUT it doesn't make a difference that
he was on a go-ped, he would most likely have been knocked over anyway. No
helmet, no light and I must say that he was probably drunk as if it was a
dark country lane then he would have seen lights coming behind him

I blame the BMW driver, they are wankers (that's a person that masturbates
too much, for those not familiar with the term) He might as well have been
driving down that road in a tank and still that phuckin BMW would have
ploughed in to the back of him.

Stepping out of your house in the morning is dangerous, at least the dumb
fuck that got killed doesn't have to suffer the indignation of getting
old, marriage, wife, kids, no more sex, prostate cancer and eventually
ending up in an old peeps home because he's been divorced the wife has
taken his money and his kids think he stinks of piss. IS THIS WHAT YOU
WANT?

Yeah I know, I just copied straight from the newspaper, OK.
If you got a billet deck for your Go-Ped would it be classed as a moped,
not a motorised skateboard!?!
