I don't normally cross-post but I'll do it this time.
I wholly endorse the planting of trees, however the more sevre problem is in
the amount of energy each of us use on a daily basis. If we could all cut
down just a little bit it would help enormously. Turn off that unnecessary
light, turn off your car engine at railroad crossings, boil only as much
water as you need for your cup of tea rather than a whole kettle, compost
don't burn, use recycleable packaging instead of plastic carrier bags.
If we all don't start doing the real basic things soon there might not be a
future for our grandchildren, and that would be very sad.
