I bought this gun second hand as an absolute air gun beginner, basically as
many years ago I did a bit of small bore shooting and Anschutz was a name I
remembered from that time. I assumed that an air rifle of the same name
would have an excellent pedigree. I believe I was right but after trying to
look it up have found that they are probably not available in UK anymore. A
search of the web has not helped, and my local air rifle expert in Devizes
just takes a sharp intake of breath.

I reckon the rifle to be really good as the build quality is outstanding. I
can shoot straight so I know the rifle is OK, but where can I get spares for
it?.

A chrono shows it only fires at a consistent 10 ft lb so I really need to
replace the spring, but hey, while I'm at it I might as well give it a
proper service.

If anybody can help I would really appreciate it.

Compliments of the season.

Bas.

I don't know if this will help, but I recall Anschutz is
still sold from "airmasters" in the UK. Thats rather
an older model than I am familiar with.

Airmasters 88 from the "99 Airgunworld buyers guide"

Perhaps they can help out...

Hi Paul, try Hiller Airguns for spares, sorry I haven’t his No. but I
re-sprung a 335 about a decade ago after acquiring a spring from him. Bear
in mind there are 2 springs made for this rifle. A “Target” one, and a
“Sporting” one. You want the “Sporting” one. Also note that the 335 was
never a Magnum Rifle, and has comparable power levels to say, a HW50, so
10ft/lbs is about right for an un-tuned 335.
An underated air-rifle, but was always in the shadow of the HW35 /
Feinwerkbau Sport.

Hi Paul,
I've just re-sprung and tuned an old 335 also fitted new piston and breech
seals, all parts readily available from John Knibbs. Your local shop should know
of this supplier and be able to order any spares you need direct from him. All
the bits I needed were "on the shelf" and posted out next day

Try Henry Krank, tel:(0113)2569163

I think that he sells them and may be able to get spares, but 10ft/lbs
sounds ok to me.

Dave
