I have an old Daisy Powerline 1200 BB pistol and the thing that is supposed
to puncture the CO2 cartridge appears to have broken off and will not
penetrate the cartridges any more (usually). Anyone know where to get parts
such as these? I looked on Daisy's web site but they don't seem to sell
parts. I would think this part is almost as standard as the CO2 cartridge
itself and is very likely the same part on many CO2 guns. It is a threaded
brass fitting about 3/4" long that includes an O-ring and the cartridge seat
(seal) as well as the puncturer thing.
Thanks.
Jim
See if there is a list of authorized repair depots available on the
Daisy site, or email them and ask.
The part you are asking about is called either a piercing pin, or a
piercing assembly.
Any interchangeability between airgun makers' parts is coincidental.
Try a different brand of CO2. There are often large differences in the
thickness and hardness of the ends of CO2 bulbs from different makers.
Sometimes it is enough to make the difference needed.
