yeah. throw norton utilities out. it is old and unnecessary. even the
latest version. what you should do is download MacJanitor, it's
freeware. Run Disk Utility and repair permissions. then run macjanitor
and do the daily, weekly and monthly tasks. then reboot your computer.
the machine should take care of the rest during start up.
