What is the status of laptop fan monitoring/control on x86 laptops under
Solaris 10? I've been googling around but not found anything useful.

It's a hot, humid day and the laptop fan is not obviously running. The
laptop is warm to the touch but working fine. The fan was audibly running a
few days ago. I don't really want to crack open the case if I don't have to.

SunOS xxxxx 5.10 Generic_125101-08 i86pc i386 i86pc
Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100

Thanks,

If you want the most up to date laptop support, use Solaris Express.
There is an active OpenSolaris laptop community if you want to keep up
with what is being added.
