I cant seem to add this group into my thunderbird mailprogram, can
this only be browsed via a browser?

help is needed to setup my mail program.
Again, sorry for posting inhere - but i wanna become a steady user of
this fine forum.

If your newserver doesn't carry it, you might need to request they do.

You're posting and presumably reading via google groups. Based on others'
post I expect this is the major part of your problem. Might try one of the
free news servers such as news.eternal-september.org

Do you use Thunderbird to view other newsgroups?

If yes, when you go to News Accounts then Manage Newsgroup
Subscriptions, do you see alt.solar.thermal on the list?

Can you better describe what the sequence of events is?
