Can someone tell me how to determine where the sun will appear to pass
overhead each day?
I live in Central Florida.

I'd like to calculate the position on the horizon where the sun will
appear to rise and set each day. I have a solr interest in mind, but
it's shade. I'm wanting to figure out where to place a shade structure
so I can get the most shade.

Thanks you for your assistance.

http://www.gcstudio.com/suncalc.html
is probably what you want, if it's not too much detail.

Maybe http://solardat.uoregon.edu/SunChartProgram.html
which gives an arc from sunup to sundown labeled with hours, azimuth and
elevation.

Actually, you do not need a computer + program to track the sun. The
other possibility is tracking the sun using light sensors.

I've developed state of the art solar tracker controller which is now
available on the glogal marketplace.

Check http://www.fusionseeker.com to learn more.

There is a yahoo widget call Sun tracker. Is that what you are looking
for? Or do you want elevation and azimuth? Check out NREL website.
