Thats a nice wattage to have, do you recommend any particular type, I
heard of crystalline.....any particular make and model you recommend?

I take it that's 1,200 "peak watts"?
Could you throw in what the actual "average" would be
over, say, a typical week? Including nighttime...

(In other words, do you get an average of, say, 200 watts? That
would, for this example, mean you get the equivalent of four
hours of full output/day. Yes, I know there's nothing at night...)

I wonder how different the ''peak'' ratings are from the average
ratings. It would seem that the average rating is more important.
Inverters would seem the way to go for night time power requirements.
Are some cells more efficient than others....newbie here....

So... given that your peak production is 1.2 kw, I guess
a back of envelope would be to take that number and
multiply it by 3 for a daily total?

Just ttrying to get a back of envelope rule of pinkie
as to how much power (over a decent time interval)
we'd really so from a solar panel with X peak production.
From your figures (and others I've bumped into) it
seems like taking the peak and multiplying it
by 3 or 4 hours gets you a number close enough
to back of enveloping.
(obviously you'd have to do more work before a final spec...)
That's assuming that in most areas the sunlight hours are 3 or 4. It
is more easy to simply multiply by the number of hours to get a rating
in kwhr. The average should perhaps be taken over at least a couple of
weeks of course winter months are different than summer, etc.

to efficiency ratio - as in ''this is cheap but less efficient....that
costs more but gives higher efficiency'' efficiency being perhaps
measured in candelas of luminous intensity from Sunlight leading to so
many watts of power
