I'm using Corel Draw 6.0 for Windows 95 and the printing is extremely
slow! :-(
I'm running Windows-95 on a 100Mhz Pentium with 24 Megabytes of a RAM
and more than 1gig of FREE disk space - what gives!.
If anyone has experienced this problem under Corel Draw 6.0, please
let me know!
By the way, I'm using an HP 560C Deskjet printer.

I also had 6.0 and the 560c (now I use the HP820). Have you checked your
spool settings within START-->SETTINGS-->PRINTERS? How big is your
file?Let me know if you checked your spool settings...if not....right
click on your default printer,go to properties, click on the details tab,
click on spool settings, make sure that "spool print jobs so programs
finishes printing faster" is checked and make sure your spool format is
set to EMF as opposed to RAW. Let me know what happens!

Define "slow".
What are your print spool settings? If you have lotsa free
temp space on disk CONFIGURED, you can usually spool to the
printer and get back to using the application faster if you
set your spool output to EMF type and start print after last
page is sent.
If you just wanna finish printing fast and don't mind waiting
to use the application, send all print data "directly" to the
printer.

How much of that free disk space is available as swap space? Use
your system tools, system monitor to check.
Another problem you may have is that if you've been editing for
a long time on the image in Corel and then print the image, don't
be too surprised if W/95 system monitor shows that you have
virtually zero free memory, very little free swap space, and lots
of swappable memory contents. You can usually print faster in
this case by saving the image, exiting Corel, then start Corel,
open the image, and print. Needless to say, you should be
running W/95 system monitor to see what is going on with
your memory and swapfile useage.
Or it could be that you are printing a very large 24 or 32 bit
image at 600 dpi and it takes a while. Takes even longer if
you are doing ANY sort of print output color correction or
processing from Corel.

FYI, my printing of graphics is very slow, too. The bottleneck is my printer,
with a slow processor and only 2MB of memory.
You might want to compare the speed you get with those published in the Oct
22, 1996 version of PC Magazine's "Printers for Business Color" article. This
may give some idea if "slow" is "slower than need be."
