Locking up issue

Had a weird little issue the other day that I thought I would share here. I
was traveling and checking my Avantgo channels (offline) after a sync the
previous day. I had checked the same Avantgo channel the day before with no
problems. This time, as soon as I tapped the Avantgo icon, I was prompted
to log in with my user name and password. I entered it and was told to
re-sync. Being offline, I could not so later when I returned to the hotel,
I re-synched wirelessly and it worked. Once. Then it would either not load
or worse yet, would freeze up the entire Dell Axim x3i requiring a soft
re-set. This continued after several synchs. Either Avantgo would not open
or if it was the last program opened, it would freeze up the Axim next time
I powered it on (and I completely close programs - not just "minimize"
them). I cleared my online cache and cookies at the Avantgo site but had
the same problems. Finally, I wiped all of the Avantgo storage files on the
Axim using MemMaid, then re-synched updating all information. That worked
(although I had to re-configure my layout). I am thinking that one of the
pop-up ads was acting up since the problem began right when I started
Avantgo. No problems since for about 4 days now but I thought I would share
in case anyone else runs into a similar situation. Using Avantgo version
6.0, build 3006.
