Why do young guys wear boxers?

me for wearing briefs.They say real men wear boxers. I think most of these
young guys wear boxers just because that seems to be the style. It seems pretty
stupid to wear a certain type of underwear just because someone else does. I
was just wondering what other guys think about this.

A nice pair of white briefs with a fly opening (like Jockey Y-Fronts) keeps
everything nicely supported and when your stripped to your briefs shows it all
off to advantage
Briefs will always be my choice - and you can keep them yours and feel a cut
above those lads who insist on wearing boxers - they are just not man enough to
wear real mens underpants ie briefs

I'm a bit older, and wear briefs. You are right the marketers are the
culprits. I wear Abercrombie & Fitch, and Structures, but both have
stopped making them. They are soft and comfortable, and I hope they
start remaking the briefs soon, so I hear A &F is going to.
Briefs feel better, give you better support, look nicer and really
absorb a hot dudes sweat. I love to feel them on my face, lick a hot
dude thru them, and have even sucked guys thru them. HOT HOT.

boxers, others boxer-briefs,and others it's bikinis. And some days no
underwear at all.
I like all underwear and pick and choose what pair to wear after I shower.
And it's based on what I fell like wearing and not on a fad or what other
guys are wearing.
I wear what makes me fell good and what I'm comfortable with.
I do get bored with plain white briefs. I like them with some color. And I
don't mean skid marks or pecker tracks either :)
Just wear what you are confortable with and don't worry about the other
guys. Let them wear what they want and you be your own self.

briefs, seems clear to me that boxerbriefs are the best of both worlds and
wonder why anyone would wear anything else? briefs maybe under tight jeans, but
the new CK boxerbriefs with some lycra are so nice fitting even under jeans

And most wear boxers cause its the style! And the fact that they may not
have all that much to show off wearing briefs, so boxers hide what they

new school and I noticed that most dudes in gym wear boxers. I didn't wan to
stick out. Also, my cousins wear them but they are a lot younger
(8 and 10). Weird to get used to them but once you do you will like them better
than briefs.

(that was almost 4 years ago now) ... Of course, I went to a "white
flight" school (Hey, it's a Texas term, figure it out) and there were
more people who were low income there... So Pretty much tighty
whities were standard because they're cheap.
As for boxers, they don't really feel all that great to me...
especially when they bunch up under your pants & such... I also don't
like crusing my cock/balls sometimes when I sit down because of the
boxers not providing good support. However, I do sleep in boxers...
simply because it's a very free feeling & helps me to relax.
I think kids today are just buying into the marketing BS from the
"gangster" movement. Although boxers do have one benefit over briefs
if you're str8... They aid in sperm production... so you have a
higher chance of getting some poor girl pregnant by accident if you're
stupid & don't use protection. (like most teenagers)

Your underware doesn't determine who you are or your social worth. Wear what
you like. Wear what feels good and what you can afford. Part of being a man
isn't what you wear but how you conduct your life.
Keep in mind that real men don't harass others based on what kind of underware
they wear. Real men support other men and the decisions they make about their
lives.
Also, the next time some guy in a locker room or in conversation
tells you that you are less of a man for not choosing to wear some type of
underware or clothing remember that it is a personal choice and you have made
yours.
