bombings, Lee Harvey Oswald, George W. Bush, and a gaggle of
televangelist preachers like Pat Robertson and Oral Roberts, for
example, but did you know they are also outstanding in their high rate
of venereal diseases?
Here's some sample information from a CDC study:
GONORRHEA
"As in previous years, in 2008 the South had the highest gonorrhea
rate among the four regions of the country".
SYPHILIS
"The South accounted for 49.7% of the P&S syphilis cases in 2008."

Since you seem to be using the results of this study in an attempt to
discredit white Southern conservatives, let's see what the CDC study
actually says:
[National statistics]
"The rate of chlamydia among blacks was over eight times higher than
that of whites..."
[Figure 4 seems to show the highest prevalence of chlamydia in
predominantly black counties throughout the South.]
[Figure 17 seems to show similar a similar correlation between
gonorrhea and the same predominantly black Southern counties.]
[Figure 21 seems to show gonorrhea rates for blacks to be at least
100x that for whites.]
[Figure 38 seems to show a syphilis rate 6-8x higher for blacks than
for whites.]
The other statistics are rather dense and complex, but it can be
assumed that if blacks have such higher rates of STDs than whites, and
since Southern states are predominantly black, that this accounts for
the Southern states having the highest rates of STDs in the country.
The CDC survey breaks down various STDs by county, so feel free to
research the racial demographics of any county and see if my
prediction holds true.
