Obama flips off the people of Washington State.............DEA cracks
down on 11 pot dispensaries

http://blogs.seattletimes.com/today/2013/05/dea-cracks-down-on-11-pot-dispensaries/

Cease-and-desist letters were sent to eleven Seattle area pot
dispensaries because they are within 1,000 feet of schools or other
prohibited areas, according to the federal Drug Enforcement
Administration.

The DEA would not identify the businesses or their precise locations.
Spokeswoman Jodie Underwood said they are in the greater Seattle area.

Despite Washington state’s new legal recreational pot law, enacted by
voter-approved Initiative 502, all forms of marijuana remain illegal
under federal law. A policy statement from the Obama administration is
supposedly coming on the new legal pot laws in Colorado and
Washington.

Underwood said the 11 dispensaries received the same letters that went
to 23 local dispensaries last August. She said the letters, dated
April 29, did not have implications for Washington and Colorado’s new
laws.

“DEA enforces federal drug laws and these letters have nothing to do
with any pending legislation or state law. The ballot initiatives in
both states are under review by DOJ,” she said.

The letters warned dispensary operators and landlords that the pot
businesses appear to be within 1,000 feet of a prohibited area, which
tend to be places such as schools and playgrounds frequented by youth.
The DEA told recipients of the letter to stop distributing marijuana
within 30 days or face property seizure and forfeiture.

“As we continue to identify locations, additional letters will be sent
out,” Underwood said.

The DEA sent letters to 63 dispensaries in Orange County, California
last week. But a Department of Justice spokesman and California
marijuana activists saw those actions as part of a continuing
crackdown in Orange County rather than a signal of new federal policy
in Colorado and Washington.

Last week a DOJ spokeswoman in Washington, D.C. responded to questions
about legal pot with a terse statement: “The legalization initiatives
in Washington and Colorado are still under review by the Department.”

Well except for immigration? OBOBO picks and chooses which federal
laws to enforce.

Maybe the people of Washington will think twice about voting for a
Democrat again. We can hope.

Enforcing the rule of federal supremacy is not necessarily a bad thing,
except that Chairman Obama promised to Change the rule, at least when it
came to legalized marijuana. Almost *ALL* marijuana dispensaries have
since been shut down since he made that fake promise. But Chairman Obama
doesn't care, becuz the stoners he throws in prison will vote for him
again in 2016.

Hah! You might as well suggest African-American slaves think twice
before voting for the slave owners who pwn them!

In all my life I have rarely met a druggie who was not a bleating Democrap
(at least those who still retained their right to vote despite their drug
convictions, that is).

Not that members of the Republican Party would hesitate to cast the first
stone at potheads (except George W. Bush), but one must realize that it
was Democraps and their various *LEFTIST* cohorts who gave us Alcohol
Prohibition. An unholy alliance was forged between Atheist Northern
liberals and Ethnofascist Southern conservatives, two groups who had
little in common (besides being white) other than a desire to impose
their fascist morality on others

I don't like pot but I believe people have right as long as it doesn't
hurt others they want to smoke a joint at home I don't care. They
want to light up in a restaurant I do. That and drive.

I've seen so much bloodshed over wanting to control your neighbor. I
like the wicca rule of do what you want as long as you harm none, or
something along those lines. We'd have less wars if people didn't
worry what religion. My neighbors wants to worship a rock I could
care less as long as he doesn't try to force me to as well.

OK babbling mode off.

I'm not going to condone driving under the influence of marijuana, but
those who have never smoked it believe it causes the same physical and
mental impairment as alcohol, which is not true. Perhaps the most
appealing thing about pot is that it is NOT impairing, creating a
pleasant sensation in the head without causing a staggering stupor like
booze. Still, I agree that the condition of legalization should set
maximum drug levels in the blood for drivers, just like alcohol.

If driving under the influence of marijuana should be illegal, so should
driving under the influence of tobacco. Tobaccoheads resent any
suggestion that their drug of choice is really a "drug," but even the
most pathetic crack addict could not possibly consume up to 40 crack
rocks a day. Obvious, tobacco users experience some kind of mind-
altering effects from nicotine, or they would not be using it every
twenty minutes! I should add that my 'tarded chain-smoking fool of a
brother wrecked his car as he was lighting a tobacco cigarette.

Lie! It was religious kooks, you know, your kind of people.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prohibition_in_the_United_States
Prohibition in the United States was a national ban on the sale,
production, and transportation of alcohol, in place from 1920 to 1933.
The dry movement was led by rural Protestants in both political parties,
and was coordinated by the Anti-Saloon League.

Yes, except those restrictions are set by states, counties, and
municipalities -- NOT the federal government!

A similar federal usurpation of state and local power was the "gun-free
school zone" law signed by Bill Clinton that was eventually nullified by
the Supreme Court. Congress quickly passed another law which clarified
that the rule only applied to firearms which contained any components
that had crossed state lines at any point in their existence.

This effectively bans any gun which is not entirely manufactured and sold
within a single state's borders, even calling into question whether it
applies to the iron ore that was smelted to make the steel, or the lead
and copper smelted to make the bullets. (Technically, all matter in the
Universe has crossed state lines on its way to earth.)

In contrast, (so far) all legal marijuana production and sale occurs
within state borders. The state of Colorado licenses marijuana growers
who sell it to licensed vendors, who sell it to adults in the state
legally -- i.e. *ALL* adults, citizens or residents or not, as per
Article IV, Section 2 and the 14th Amendment.

Even the 21st Amendment, which re-legalized interstate transport of
alcohol, grants states the right to regulate the product -- even if the
booze was fermented and distilled in other states. The federal
government does not even have the constitutional power to set a minimum
drinking age, so why do you believe it has the power to set a minimum
distance from LOCAL schools for alcohol sale/consumption?

The issue here is not whether alcohol or marijuana sale/use should be
restricted near schools, but which level of government should be
responsible for setting the restrictions. You advocate fascist Soviet-
style centralism, pretending this is "democratic" despite being as far
removed from the people as possible. You are saying that the residents
of local communities are too stoopid to decide things like this for
themselves, and that the central imperial government must protect them
from making their own decisions. This makes you a fascist.

> http://www.liq.wa.gov/licensing/apply-liquor-license ...

This is one the few times I've ever seen a liberal expressing support for
such a blatant violation of separation of church and state. What makes a
church so different from the titty bar or clothing store that are NOT
included in the statute?

Please explain in your own words why alcohol or marijuana use/sale should
be prohibited near churches, but not titty bars or clothing stores.
Please explain why a "progressive" liberal like yourself seems to be
advocating a return to the fascist Prohibition era, when self-righteous
Methodist church ladies took it upon themselves to tell other Americans
what they couldn't do with their bodies. And please do explain why local
liquor laws (which have always been unconstitutionally influenced by
religion) should now be enforced by the federal government.

Tell me did the State ask for help on this ether in California or

State says "You cannot set up a store within 1000 feet"

Got that? STATE LAW.

Cease-and-desist letters were sent to eleven Seattle area pot
dispensaries because they are within 1,000 feet of schools or other
prohibited areas, according to the federal Drug Enforcement
Administration.

The federal law happens to reflect that.

You excuse anything that fits your hate of a black president.

STATE LAW. AND FEDERAL LAW. Federal law will kick in regardless.

The people of Washington state ALSO approved keeping them
1000 feet from schools. Why do you keep ignoring that?

DUH, federal law ALWAYS trumps local, county, state laws. It will kick in
regardless. DUH DUH DUH

Yes but why is the Feds enforcing State law?

True and yet the State isn't doing it OBOBO is. I have no problem
with MY state doing it. Doubt they need OBOBO for that.
>
>The federal law happens to reflect that.

It does. I thought Fed law says it is illegal anywhere. did I miss
something is there anywhere a medical pot shop is legal under federal
law? Mind showing us that a cite please. Bet you can't your just
another liberal making thing up as he goes.

Has nothing to do with him being black. In fact he is half white so
really isn't black.

I was waiting for the race card just means you lost this debate. Race
card last bastion of the incompetent liberal.

Yes we know the Liberals want a federal all powerful government no
matter what the liberals of this state vote for. We know HIEL OBOBO

I don't not the point here. Point is let MY state enforce their laws
and OBOBO worry more about his people like the IRS, the justice
department and not giving guns to Drug Lords for use against women and
children. In other words let OBOBO clean his own house first.

Then again the DEA are a bunch of cowards and fear going against the
gangs of Chicago. These shops easier.

Seem to be highly selective for OBOBO. Let him allow my State and
California to enforce their own laws and let him clean up his
Administration so we have no more scandals.

BTW the new laws don't go into effect until September. About 40 pages
of them. Seattle city council is making areas where they can
operate.

Then again OBOBO might select what laws to enforce near the next
election he is good at not enforcing laws for votes.

Personally I like what he is doing many liberal are quite upset with
him here. Maybe the Democrats will lose the Senate. Happy day.

Yet it is used by many in your Sec 8 Townhouses?

The people of this State have spoken. The Democrats have spoken and
Obama has flipped them off.

Tell me Obama choose not to enforce immigration law when it suited him
and yet goes after this. WHY? I know because the other was for
votes.

I know he has lost votes here.

Keep up the good work. Maybe Washington and California will become
red states. Good Job

True but at least some States won't help the DEA. You'd think they
could use the money better like maybe fixing a bridge or 2.

They had a article on how bad our bridges are all over this nation.
Then again fixing Bridges isn't in the Far lefts agenda. Power is all
that matters.

Maybe the Conservatives will take the Senate soon. Make Obama
impotent.

So you are saying the it was Republicans that actually passed
Obamacare.

So you are also saying that Obama did not sign a executive order that
people call the Dream Act.

Dream Act goes into effect by executive order

No then again it is State law. To bad OBOBO doesn't look into his own
administration maybe there be less scandals. Clean up the Fed before
worrying about my State. Then again I'm sure you'll just lame
everything on Bush. We've had that clown as President 4 years and
still you liberals blame everything on Bush.

You're making less sense after painting yourself into a corner. I showed
that state law already covers the ground you're blaming Obama for! And then
you flounder around with "no then again it is state law", saying that
STATE law, which does the SAME THING as federal law, is not "flipping
off" the people but somehow fed law is! Now that's COMEDY, folks!

Then again like I said I have no problem with MY State going after
these people. BTW why is Obama wasting money on this? He could use
the money to hire more firefighters. Last I heard he we have 500 less
for those wildfires because of lack of funds. How many homes will
burn and people killed for votes for you liberals. Put the money we
have to where it is needed.

It's federal law. DUH Because of your hate for a black president, you'd
otherwise just complain that he *wasn't* enforcing the laws.
