New Israeli funds for West Bank settlements
The Israeli cabinet has decided to include some West Bank settlements
in a national scheme that will entitle them to millions of dollars'
worth of funds.
They are being designated as national priority zones, meaning they
will qualify for grants, tax benefits, and other forms of aid.
The move comes amid anger by Jewish settlers at a government-imposed
curb on new building in settlements.
The Labour Party leader warned some of the new money might go to
extremists.

What "deals?" So far Israel's only offer has been to give back a
small part of the stolen Palestinian land the Jews are holding in
return for the Palestinians giving up the right of sovereignty. And
when the Palestinians agreed to even that travesty, the Jews changed
their minds and started shooting again.
It's all a matter of public record. President Clinton tried
desperately to get some agreement between the Israeli Jews and the
Palestinians before he left office. Clinton twisted Arafat's arm to
accept Israel's best offer, an agreement in which Israel would have
complete control over Jerusalem, all of Israel's illegal settlements
sitting on stolen Palestinian land would remain untouched and under
Israeli control, Israel would also control all the roads including the
roads in the Arab section, Israel would also control the money and
banking institutions, and Arab Palestine would be cut into a number of
autonomous cantons subject to intervention by Israeli troops.
It was a horrible deal for the Palestinians, but with Clinton leaving
and the Israeli puppet George W. Bush standing ready to take over the
office of the Presidency, Arafat grudglingly acceded to Clinton's
demands. Barak and Arafat publicly announced they were close to
agreement. Plans were made for the parties to meet in Paris to iron
out the last issues of the agreement.
The BBC reported on January 3, 2001:
"Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat has given conditional
acceptance to a US plan to restart Middle East peace talks, according
to the White House. 'What that means is that both sides have now
accepted the president's ideas with some reservations, and that
represents a step forward,' White House spokesman Jake Siewert said."
In a public speech on January 9, 2001, Clinton announced Arafat's
agreement:
"Given the impasse and the tragic deterioration on the ground, a
couple of weeks ago both sides asked me to present my ideas. So I put
forward parameters that I wanted to be a guide toward a comprehensive
agreement; parameters based on eight years of listening carefully to
both sides and hearing them describe with increasing clarity their
respective grievances and needs.
"Both Prime Minister Barak and Chairman Arafat have now accepted
these parameters as the basis for further efforts. Both have expressed
some reservations. At their request, I am using my remaining time in
office to narrow the differences between the parties to the greatest
degree possible."
It was, of course, a waste of Clinton's time. The Jews didn't want an
agreement--they wanted more Palestinian territory, they wanted all of
Palestine--and Lebanon, Syria, and part of Iraq. Their greedy dream
is "Eretz Israel, from the Nile to the Euphrates."
As soon as Ariel Sharon heard about the agreement, he ordered out the
Israeli storm troopers. Unfortunately, most Americans have already
forgotten the videos of Sharon marching his armed mobs onto the Temple
mount with Israeli attack helicopters roaring overhead. They don't
recall the Israeli army attack on the Palestinian worshippers, and the
street shootings, and that young Palestinian boy being murdered on our
television screens.
With the ambitious Sharon gang on a murder spree in Jerusalem and the
majority of avaricious Jews in Israel cheering on the carnage, all
negotiations ended. Barak returned to Israel refusing any further
meetings with Arafat. It was all a ruse for the benefit of the
gullible American public.

Israel has given back huge stretches of land in a vain attempt to get
a deal.
Very untraditional.
Now there seems to be a new deal going.
The longer the Arabs wait the more they lose.
Once the occupied lands are settled by Israelis there's little chance
the Arabs will ever get it back.
The Arabs have played their stalling game for decades.
They lost that ploy, too.
The sooner they make a deal the sooner they can have peace.

The Arabs need to move fast....the longer they stall the worse the
