Libby: White House sacrificed him for Rove

WASHINGTON - Top White House officials tried to blame vice
presidential aide "Scooter" Libby for the 2003 leak of a CIA
operative's identity to protect President Bush's political strategist,
Karl Rove, Libby's defense attorney said Tuesday as his perjury trial
began and the first witness took the stand.

Actually, they put the lives of about 300 in danger. There were
the operatives directly employed by the front company, and then
there's all their international contacts. Not a bad haul for a
completely corrupt administration... <snicker>

Good point. Dick Chenecy makes Robert Hanssen look like choir boy,
which of course he was.

Bush lied about a threat to Air Force One on 9/11 and the media let him
get away with that. Then he lied about a threat to our national
security and the media let him get away with it. Then he lied about not
knowing who outed Ms. Wilson and the media let him get away with it.

If the media had done its job on 9/11 and exposed the lie about a
terrorist threat to Air Force One the rest wouldn't have happened. Bush
is responsible for the lies his White House spews, but it's the media
that let his lies see the light of day without a single challenge.

It's like "Groundhog Day": no matter how many times Bush is
exposed as a liar and a criminal, on each new day the media
default back to giving Bush's explanations equal or greater
weight relative to those of anyone else.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me every day for six
years, I win a Peabody.

Right, exposing a CIA agent's identity is bad, but exposing
anti-terrorist strategies in the New York Times is goo. Continue
panicking, liar :)
