Some questions for my exampaper

I am currently working on a thesis about youthmarketing. I study
Communications in Utrecht, The Netherlands and I am in my final year
(thank god!)
I have a little theory that explains the fact that today's youth are
'hard to capture' according to marketingmanagers. The theory explains
the fact that the twenthysomethings, Gen Next, slackers, whatever you
wanna call them, are grouped in scenes. A scene is a social group,
consisting of independent individuals, who are drawn together by a
singular idea or thought. Every individual creates it's own identity
from that scene and is definitely NOT bound to that scene. they move
from scene to scene, picking whatever they like and then move on.
My question is: Do you feel you're a part of a certain scene? Or do
you see yourself as a pure individual, doing whatever you like, not
worrying what others say? When you look at yourself from the outside,
can you give some groups that you are part of, but the groups itself
have little or no connection?
These are just a few questions I have. Every comment, criticism or
questions on the subject are welcome as long as they have substance.
The answers you give will be treated with the utmost discretion and
will only be mentioned in the thesis (with your name) if YOU want it.
So let me know if it's allright if I use your answers as a quotation.

Maybe if we're lucky some day this group will be flooded
