Hanguks, PLEASE CALM DOWN!
Every culture has certain things they're touchy about. America has so
many that we should all collectively be sent to our nearest shrink for
some intensive psychotherapy. The South alone has been trying to work
out the issues associated with "the late unpleasantness" for about 140
years and the issues are still going strong! Wahoo!
A few times in my life, I've been in a country that gets so whipped up
over an issue that you can feel the Wheels of War being slowly be
turned. Because I was so young, late 1990 was the one that sticks in my
mind the most. The lead up to the Second Iraqi War was a lot like that,
too, but different because so many people were against it.
But anyway.
Right now, I honestly believe Koreans would go to war against Japan
over Dokdo Island if China, Russia and, uh, the United States would let
them.
To the uneducated outsider, the fight over Dokdo Island is rather,
well, odd. Korea and Japan are "friends" who are celebrating a
"Friendship Year" also known as "Sorry We Subjugated Your People for 50
Years and Made Your Women Whores For Our Inhuman Military Machine
During the War Year."
And the land at stake is painfully small. (Yes, I know about the
fishing rights, but humor me.)
But, the whole issue is not about the island, it's about how hurt the
Koreans still are about how shitty life was for them under the Japanese
during the 50 years before The War (as my mother would call it.)
The South is the same damn way, it's just we've had more time to get
over stuff. I mean, the entire city of Richmond, Va is dedicated to the
"Lost Cause," even though it's just nutty to be that way because the
South Was Wrong and It Was A Good Thing We Lost The War.
Just exactly what "history" is Japan trying to change?
You're right and I'm sorry.
Do you think you are cool?
No Japanese is changing any history.
Anyway, even if someone trys to change it, it's none of Koreans' business.
This
is a free country and no one can force the historical ideology of Kim Jong
Il or Koreans.
No Japanese is changing any history, moron.

No, Kaz is merely trying to pass off fantasy as history.
It seems you are the person trying to pass off fantasy as history. The US
approved the annexation of Korean peninsula at that time. Read history
correctly.
STFU, Kimchee gook!
Where is the proof that they "approved" the annexation? They tolerated it,
and did not go to war because of it, but there was no "approval."
You try to revise it as of Roosevelt said nothing, but actually he said
something as shown below.
http://www.okazaki-inst.jp/okazaki-inst/hokazakius.dymaye.html
Later, however, Roosevelt supported Japan's outright annexation of Korea.
"Korea is absolutely Japanese," Roosevelt said, adding, "To be sure, by the
Treaty it was solemnly covenanted that Korea should remain independent. But
Korea is helpless to enforce the Treaty itself, and it is out of the
question to suppose that any other nation would attempt to do for the
Koreans what they are utterly unable to do for themselves."
Don't try to deny it. It only makes you look a liar.
You really are a lying piece of dung.
