Remind the DOJ and DHS of the importance of due process and the
presumption of innocence when dealing with the Internet

Recent actions by the the U.S. government in seizing domains, assets, and
making arrests have shown an unseemly casual disregard for due process, the
presumption of innocence and freedom from prior restraint. We feel that the
public and the U.S. Constitution is better served if our public servants were
more attentive to individuals' rights and freedoms.

Specific examples include the seizure of Dajaz1.com. And the heedless
disregard for innocent clients storing of legal files on Megaupload and their
rights to their data.

Due diligence by public officials should also include insuring that
infringing files are truly infringing, not subject to fair use, not given
consent by the rights owners, not fraudulently or accidentally claimed by
non-rights owners, and not abusively claimed.
